Update as of November 11, 2021: FlowMSP and Hexagon have just completed two significant steps for FlowMSP and Hexagon customers.
First, the two companies built a secure API that meets all departments’ security requirements for data transmission. Secondly, an improved user interface allows customers to access FlowMSP pre-plans within the Hexagon CAD screen with the click of a button. These completed projects signify complete integration for users of both products.
FlowMSP and Hexagon’s Safety & Infrastructure division today announced a new partnership that will enable fire departments to better plan for and respond to incidents.
The new partnership will provide fire agencies using Hexagon’s computer-aided dispatch (CAD) solutions direct access to FlowMSP’s pre-planning and incident response tools from within the CAD system’s interface. Additionally, Hexagon CAD data will now be available within the FlowMSP mobile app.
“We are excited to partner with Hexagon. This partnership will transform how Hexagon’s customers respond to incidents, resulting in dramatically improved information availability nationwide and, ultimately, globally.”Jason Marvel, Founder and CEO of FlowMSP.
Through the FlowMSP integration, Hexagon CAD customers will be able to access their pre-plans quickly, including hydrant data, calculated flow rates, images, annotations and more, without toggling between software tools. The integrated bundle will save valuable space on departments’ mobile data terminals while facilitating ease of use.
By providing rich pre-planning data within a firefighter’s workflow, the FlowMSP / Hexagon integration streamlines the flow of crucial information as firefighters respond to incidents. Now, firefighters can efficiently plan response while en route, arriving at the incident with strategy in place.
“Obtaining accurate pre-plans, mobile mapping and routing and notifications is critical for first responders,” said Ben Ernst, vice president and general manager for Hexagon’s Safety & Infrastructure division.
