Tyler Email Dispatch Setup

Click on Rip and Run Contacts.
Select your contact that you want to edit.
Click the Edit Button.

Click the “Add” button.
Enter the Email Address (we provided you) and Name (Anything you with to name this).
Tab and then click the “right” arrow.
Click the “Add” button.
Enter the Email Address (we provided you) and Name (Anything you wish to name this).
Tab and then click the “right” arrow.

Select Rip and Run Format
Select the contact you wish to edit
Click the Edit button
The fields to select will be not be available until this button is selected.

Select the fields that will be sent in the email.
We are looking for the following, similar to the format shown below:

• Call Date &Time
• Call Address
• Latitude & Longitude
• Call Type
• Incident Number
• Units Assigned
• Status Times
• CAD Narrative

Step 10: Click the Save button.

Select Rip and Run Settings
Verify that you have the correct contact selected
Click the Edit button.
Check the “Email” box

Additionally you may need to update the Email Settings
Select System Settings / General Settings Settings
Enter the Host, Port, Username and Password required to send emails from your server.
Click the Text Connection button.

Congratulations!! You have successfully set up Rip and Run to send dispatch messages.
