Mutual Aid Data Sharing (MADS)

Working Together to Keep Communities & Firefighters Safe

  • Share pre-plan data with other departments in real-time.
  • Sharing your preplans and hydrant information with other FlowMSP users is built into your account.

“We utilized the FlowMSP Pre-Planning Platform to improve our ISO rating for the city, but now with the ability to share our data with the Bourbonnais Fire Protection District, we can better protect our community.”

Chief Damon Schuldt

Left-click on the gear wheel in the upper right corner of your account and select the “Data Sharing” option to start sharing your information. Check the box at the top of the screen to start sharing your data.

Type in mile radius to search FlowMSP users in your area, and check the boxes for the departments you would like to share your data with.

Your partners will now be able to see all your pre-planned data!

With FlowMSP, data can be accessed and shared in real-time before and during an incident.

By sharing this data, and each department collecting and distributing it, mutual response strategies lowers the risk to firefighters injury and increases the operational efficiency for responding units outside their service areas.
We see data being shared in two ways – in mutual aid, between cities or rural communities where departments are continuously called to share resources, or between municipalities – where a police department may need access to the same data source that the fire department needs – like in an active shooting scenario. What Prevents Your Department From Using Pre-Planning Software?

After dispatch, FlowMSP is only a single button click to view the pre-plan associated with that address.

Lack of pre-incident planning is the most consistent contributing factor in NIOSH LODD reports.

Most departments can field FlowMSP for less than the cost of a single set of turnout gear and one SCBA.

FlowMSP can create an NFPA 1620 pre-plan in 10 seconds. Don’t believe us? We’ll show you!
